The first exhibition of 2024 in the Jim Thomas Invitational Gallery of the Sautee Nacoochee Center is an outstanding display of fine art photography presented by the Wilderness Photography Foundation (WPF) headquartered in Atlanta. According to Mike Ramy, the chief executive officer, their mission is to use the visual power of photography to increase awareness of the beauty and value of wilderness and wildlife toward encouraging action to protect and preserve wild spaces.

Beginning January 12 and extending through March 17 this exhibition, Nature’s Generosity, highlights the creative works of 45 WPF members. The Sautee Nacoochee Center is one of ten participating galleries in a touring exhibit which began in April 2023 at the Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta and will culminate at the Winterville Cultural Center Gallery in Winterville, GA in December of 2024.

A reception is scheduled for Saturday, January 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Also, during this time, the Center's two gallery shops will display many disciplines of art including paintings, pottery, fiber arts, one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry, sculpture, stained glass and books written or illustrated by local authors and illustrators.
