World-renowned folk artist Howard Finster began creating Paradise Gardens in 1951. It is listed as one of Georgia's noted art attractions. Finster's outsider art - sculpture and paintings - draws tourists from around the world. Located in Summerville, Ga., Paradise Gardens is a maze of buildings, sculptures and displays. The gardens were built from found objects and recycled materials ranging from bottles, bathtubs and toilets to bicycle frames and cast-off jewelry. Next door is The Finster Vision House which opened as an art gallery of Finster's art. Open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Groups welcome.
