The Sawmill

See demonstrations of the way lumber used to be cut using the Glaze sawmill, a 1950’s-era Frick portable sawmill from the days when the sawmill was taken out into the woods.  It’s powered by a GMC diesel like the ones that powered landing craft in WWII. Contrast that with the way lumber is cut today, with logs being transported to a big centrally located sawmill facility. All of the siding for the turpentine still storage building (adjacent to the sawmill) was cut using this sawmill.
