Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival
For over 20 years, the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival (PWAF) has developed a reputation as a premier celebration of arts and culture in the Red Hills region of south Georgia and north Florida. Each November, sporting & wildlife enthusiasts and fine arts connoisseurs alike enjoy a variety of PWAF events ranging from a black-tie preview party to brush pants in the field.
It started as an idea sparked during a dinner party conversation over 20 years ago between Margo Bindhardt and Bob Crozer. Inspired by the rich history of Thomasville’s sporting plantations, the two, along with Louise Humphrey and members of the Thomasville Center for the Arts board, had a vision of bringing outstanding wildlife artists to the Red Hills region. This vision was brought to life as the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival, which is now entering its 23rd year as a signature event in our community. The festival has established a devout following of artists and patrons that value the beauty and bounty of our unique corner of the world. All festival proceeds will benefit Thomasville Center for the Arts and its ongoing commitment to serve as a catalyst for artistic expression, arts education, and creative economy in Thomasville, Georgia.
