Eagle Tavern Museum
The Historic Eagle Tavern was built in 1801 and still stands in its original spot. It was a stagecoach-style trading post. People from all over the South visited the tavern for lodging, food and drink. Take a trip back to the 1800s in the restored stagecoach stop. The building has been converted into a historic museum showing what life was like 200-years-ago in Oconee County.
Tours of the Eagle Tavern Museum are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Call 706-769-5197 to schedule a private tour.
