Georgia's Golf Tournaments

Georgia's three top professional golf tournaments offer an appealing mix of reverence, excitement and sweeping course views. Whether it's the gentility of the Masters in Augusta, the raucous TOUR Championship in Atlanta or the intimate proceedings on Sea Island, it's impossible to go wrong when picking one to watch.

The Masters, Augusta

The annual Masters Tournament in Augusta is among the toughest tickets in any sport – and for good reason. Stroll down through Amen Corner (the 11th through 13th holes) on tournament Sunday, as reverent silence turns to roars echoing off the pines, and you'll understand why.

TOUR Championship, Atlanta

Bobby Jones's home course, East Lake Golf Club, features panoramic views of the gleaming Atlanta skyline and is the permanent home of the PGA TOUR's season-ending Tour Championship. East Lake's rolling layout tests the world's 30 best players every year with holes like the uphill 235-yard, par-3 No. 18. Bring the whole family: two kids (15 and younger) get in free each day with one adult ticket.

RSM Classic, Sea Island

When Bobby Jones played under the watchful eyes of bald eagles at the Seaside course at The Lodge at Sea Island Golf Club, he said it was among the finest stretches of golf holes he'd ever seen. November is the perfect month to visit the Golden Isles of Georgia and watch the PGA TOUR's best navigate this 7,005-yard layout that meanders through coastal marshland.
