The Berrien County Courthouse, a National Historic landmark erected in 1898, is home of the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce and the Berrien Historical Foundation with its exhibits and archival records for genealogists. Tours are available.

Old Berrien County Jail, National Historic structure built in 1903 with its infamous hanging gallows, is open to the public for tours. Arrangements can be made at the Historical Foundation office in the old courthouse.
