Downtown Thomasville Historic District & Visitors Center

Over a hundred eclectic boutiques, antique shops, and cafes are nestled among the historic buildings of Downtown Thomasville.  Well known for its character, charm and hospitality, Thomasville was an early recipient of the prestigious Great American Main Street Award.

As you explore, you’ll find the restored Victorian storefronts put a lovely face on a fun variety of stores offering everything from proper hunting attire to the perfect little black dress - and great shoes to go with both!  Downtown’s brick-paved streets lend an old-world feel to the bustling shopping district, which draws visitors from around the country and the world.  

Located in the heart of downtown, the Thomasville Visitors Center awaits your arrival to welcome you to our beautiful and historic city.  We are happy to offer assistance with planning your itinerary and answer any questions you have about dining, lodging, shopping and seeing the sites. The Center offers attraction, lodging and event brochures, local and state maps, and resource information for every need!  If you’re a group traveler or meeting planner, you'll love our special group services that aim to make your visit fun and stress-free!  If you are looking for a piece of Thomasville to take home with you, our Visitors Center Gift Shop offers souvenirs, post cards, cookbooks and locally made goodies.

The Visitors Center is located in Downtown Thomasville at the corner of Jackson St. (US Hwy 319) and Crawford Streets inside the Municipal Auditorium Building.  The Visitors Center is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Contact us before your arrival and we'll mail you a Visitors Guide, complete with Historic Walking/Driving Tour or visit www.thomasvillega.com.
