Chatsworth
There is a place in the Northwest Georgia mountains that may not be well known, but it's a place of beauty, comfort and excitement just waiting to be discovered.
Touted as the Gateway to the Appalachians, Chatsworth is a land of enchantment, from the rich American Indian history and the beauty of majestic mountains with their spectacular blaze of fall colors to an uncomplicated, yet progressive lifestyle.
Hike out to the mysterious wall at Fort Mountain State Park; camp in the pristine outdoors of the Cohutta Wilderness; and relax in casual comfort at the Wilderness View Cabins or The Overlook Inn.
Gateway to the Appalachian Trail
Near the southern terminus of the famed long-distance trail at Springer Mountain, Chatsworth is a popular hub for those looking for a nearby hotel or campground, or a way to experience similar terrain within the Chattahoochee National Forest. Close to challenging hiking and biking trails in Fort Mountain State Park or throughout the Cohutta Wilderness and beyond, the town is also popular with anglers fishing its streams and lakes, and golfers soaking up the Cohutta Mountains views.
