The Athens Film Festival returns for its second year with a vibrant lineup of screenings, panels, and events celebrating bold, independent cinema. From August 14–17, the festival will showcase a dynamic range of films—including international features, documentaries, animation, horror, comedy, and music videos—at venues throughout Athens. Venues include Ciné, Morton Theatre, Flicker, The Globe, and The Lightroom.
This year "PitchFest" has been added to the programming. This will be a live event taking place on August 16 where aspiring filmmakers present their ideas to industry professionals. The festival also features filmmaker Q&As, interactive workshops, late-night gatherings, and partnerships with local arts organizations.
With selections representing both local talent and global voices—from Georgia to Hong Kong, Kenya, and France—the Athens Film Festival offers four days of compelling storytelling and creative exchange in the Classic City.
