From Blue Ridge and Helen to Macon, a number of outfitters rent tubes and offer transportation to the best stretches of water to enjoy.

Blue Ridge & McCaysville

Tube the gentle waters of the Toccoa River near Blue Ridge for an easy-going adventure suitable for the whole family. Tubing the calm waters of the Toccoa River is perfect for a relaxing day on the river with children. Shallowford Bridge Tube Rental is one of the oldest tubing experiences in the Blue Ridge Mountains with a 1.5-hour trip down the gorgeous Toccoa River. For more thrills and excitement, Toccoa River Tubing Company offers Ocoee River rafting, zipline canopy tours, and fun floats down the scenic Toccoa River. Toccoa Valley Campground and Toccoa Wilderness Tubing also offer shuttle service for a fun day of tubing the Toccoa River. Also known for guiding whitewater rafting trips, Rolling Thunder River Company offers 1.5-mile to 3-mile tubing trips. Tubing the Toccoa River is perfect for folks with small children or those who are nervous about whitewater rafting.


In addition to wild whitewater rafting and kayaking on the Chattahoochee, Whitewater Express offers flatwater tubing during the summer months. Pair a trip down the river with ziplines, aerial obstacle course or bike rentals to explore the city.


Dahlonega outfitters Chestatee River Adventures and Appalachian Outfitters offer tubing trips down the gorgeous Chestatee River from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The Chestatee trip lasts about 30 minutes, but you can take a short walk back to the start and take as many turns as you like!

Just outside Historic Dahlonega, Etowah River Campground offers riverside tent and RV camping in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Etowah River tubing trips, offered from May through Labor Day, are fun for the whole family!
